Ask yourself: do I already have a plugin that does this? Overlap is a silent performance killer. Running two caching plugins, two SEO plugins, or two backup plugins doesn't give you double the benefit — it gives you double the conflict risk.

Your Plugin Audit Framework

If you've never taken a hard look at what's actually running on your WordPress site, now's the time. Here's a straightforward process:
